UK rapper Blackhaine aka Tom Heyes shares new single Prayer featuring British singer, composer and songwriter Blood Orange aka Dev Hynes and rising Manchester rapper and producer Iceboy Violet, set to Rainy Miller’s hugely distinctive ambient drill production.
Recounting a challenge to his faith in testing times, Prayer’s cinematic arrangement of thizzing rap and iridescent electronica with lushly harmonized chorus sees Blackhaine find a raw strength in vulnerability, effectively defusing drill aggression with a lush sentimentality and hype R&B soul while skewing its road-level perspectives on violence.
